Programme Options and Requirements

Grade 12 Pathway 1

Traditional CAPE programme for students with five or more CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, and strong grades in intended CAPE subjects.

Good conduct
Minimum 80% attendance
Participation in extra-curricular activity

Pre-Sixth / Pathway 2

Technical programme for students who need to resit CSEC subjects while pursuing NCTVET, one CAPE subject, and City & Guilds Mathematics/English options.

1–4 CSEC subjects
Good conduct
80% Grade 11 attendance

Continuation for students who have completed Grade 12 requirements and are ready to pursue CAPE Unit 2 studies with discipline and responsibility.

At least three CAPE passes
Completed internal exams
Submitted required SBAs

Subject selection and acceptance.

Students should select subject bands carefully based on career goals, CSEC prerequisites, timetable availability, and school approval. Meeting the minimum requirements does not automatically guarantee acceptance.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview, orientation session, or subject selection meeting before being accepted into the Sixth Form programme.
